Two-hour interactive virtual event on November 10 brings together health systems, biopharma manufacturers, and logistics leaders to explore reusable packaging models that reduce landfill waste by up to 95%.

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — AeroSafe Global, a leader in biopharmaceutical cold chain solutions, today announced it will host its virtual Sustainability Symposium 2026 on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern Time.

AeroSafe Global, Sustainability Symposium for healthcare leaders

Anchored in the belief that “Safety is no accident and neither is sustainability,” the symposium examines a critical, often-overlooked contributor to the broader healthcare waste stream: single-use cold-chain packaging. In high-volume environments, a single academic medical center can process nearly 300,000 pounds of single-use gel packs annually. The symposium gathers industry leaders and frontline clinicians to examine how circular delivery models and reverse logistics can eliminate this waste at the source while maintaining strict thermal integrity for critical therapies.

Hosted by Cass McCrory, Executive Vice President of Channel & Commercial Strategy at AeroSafe Global, the symposium explores the practical business and clinical case for transitioning from single-use packaging to closed-loop reuse systems capable of cutting landfill waste by up to 95%.

“When you deliver life-saving medicine, safety is never an afterthought, it has to be designed into the system from the beginning,” said Cass McCrory. “Sustainability must be approached with the exact same rigor. Rather than relying on downstream recycling claims that shift the burden onto clinics and patients, we must engineer closed-loop systems that prioritize reuse from day one. This symposium convenes the partners, providers, and frontline voices who are proving that patient safety and planet stewardship do not have to be competing priorities.”

Key Topics & Discussion Areas:

Moving Beyond “Recyclable” Claims: Analyzing the operational differences between downstream recycling and closed-loop reuse models engineered for 70+ turn cycles.
Frontline Clinical Impact: Perspectives from hospital pharmacy teams, home infusion specialists, and patients on what delivery reliability and packaging disposal mean at the point of care.
2025 AeroSafe Global Impact Report: An advance look at the emissions, diversion, and packaging lifecycle data prior to public release.
